Ben has become a legend in his generation.
Ben finished his American Championship in style, taking Best of Breeds and Group placements over specials, all before turning one year old.
He then came to join his father's family in Canada. His first weekend out he took Group First. Ben finished his Canadian Championship in four days with multiple Group placements.
Ben then headed back to the US to attend the Borzoi Club of America 2015 National Specialty, where he took Best in Futurity. On his way back home, he stopped to win his first Best In Specialty (Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club) and his first AKC Group First.
Back in Canada Ben added another Best in Specialty (Foothills Gazehound Club), and Group 1st at the 2015 Purina National.
Ben hit the Canadian ring again in 2016 with a Group 4th, two Group 1sts, and a Specialty Best of Breed. He added another Best in Specialty win to his roster in September 2016 with the Borzoi Canada 2016 Dogwood Specialty win. His first litter was whelped in March 2016.
Ben returned to his US family for 2017 and 2018. Ben continued to be consistent in taking Group wins and placements, as well as being a strong contender in the Best in Show ring - he has several Reserve Best in Shows, and spring 2018 saw him earn his first Best in Show - breeder/owner handled. He had the honour of being Best of Opposite Sex at the 2017/2018 Westminster Kennel Club and Best of Opposite Sex at the 2017 BCOA National. Ben ended 2017 as the #2 Borzoi All Breed and Breed (#1 Male), and was #1 Borzoi overall in 2018.
His children and grandchildren are proving to be strong contenders at the National and local level - the 2018 National saw 4 out of 7 Bitch classes won by either his daughters or granddaughters, with one of his daughters taking Winners Bitch/Best of Winners. In addition, the 2018 Best in Futurity was won by his granddaughter - following in her grandfather's footsteps from 3 years earlier.
Now in 2019, Ben's children and grandchildren continue to dominate the specialty ring. The 2019 BCOA WD/BOW was his son. The WB/Best Bred By was his granddaughter. Another daughter was Award of Merit. Other Ben get won or placed consistently in their classes. Ben has truly become a sire of influence in his time.
